Eggless Waffle Batter
Being a vegetarian, I try to find eggless alternatives to different foods.
This is a very basic and easy recipe if you want to make any type of pancake or waffle batter.
First of all, I try to incorporate healthy materials into my cooking. So especially for flour, I avoid using any type of refined or all purpose flour. I rather opt for whole wheat or multigrain flour because at the end of the day, you would rather put healthy food into your kids stomach.
This makes 2/3 waffles.
- Take 1 cup of flour. I use the multigrain flour from Trader Joes.
- If you have oats flour, you can mix half cup of that.
- Take 1 cup of milk.
- Add it slowly to the milk, little by little, mixing the flour. You want to have a medium consistency batter – not too thick or not too liquidy.
Meanwhile, you preheat your waffle maker. Once it is ready, put some butter in it. Then, you pour in the batter, close the lid and wait for it to cook.
Charcoal Waffle:
Currently, charcoal is the latest food trend. Charcoal is known for cleansing out your system, detoxifying our body and alleviates bloating and gas. It has become very popular in food due to its dark grey color that it gives.
To make this charcoal pancake, I followed the same steps to make the pancake batter. Then I added around 4 capsules of charcoal in the batter and then I cooked it. With four capsules, it did give a grey color, but not as dark as I had expected.
You can get this capsule or charcoal anywhere.
The brand I used is VegLife Charcoal Vegan Coconut Shell. On amazon.com it is for $13.01.
Nice will check this out
